SANTA CLARA, California — May 13, 2015 — Ops A La Carte LLC today announced that Owner and Managing Partner, Kim Silverman, has sold Ops A La Carte LLC and its division HALT & HASS Labs to the company’s General Manager, Jay Muns.

Muns has been with Ops A La Carte since May 1, 2013, where he has been serving as the organization’s General Manager with responsibilities overseeing sales, marketing, operations, IT, and lab management. He has more than 35 years of experience in high tech industries including semiconductors, systems, CAD, and Electronic Design Services. Muns’ experience includes semiconductor design, operations management, test engineering, marketing, product line management, program/project management, and business development at companies such as NCR Microelectronics, Harris Semiconductor, Cadence Design Systems, Network Equipment Technologies, and Nuvation Engineering.

Ops A La Carte was founded 14 years ago with a vision of being able to support any company, with any product, in any industry, anywhere in the world to meet their reliability goals. Since then, Ops A La Carte has become a leader in providing professional reliability services and its worldwide team of over 60 expert consultants have worked on over 1,500 products in 100 different industries in 30 countries. Today’s announcement is the culmination of a strategic business decision that was made following the passing of company founder, Mike Silverman, last September to ensure the company’s long-term growth and success.

“I am so proud of the company that Mike and I have built over the last 14 years. We started the company from the ground floor and have built it to an international presence serving customers and partners all over the world,” said Silverman. “It was important for me to select a leader who not only had the depth and breadth of experience needed to service our extremely diverse customer base, but one who also embodied the passion and enthusiasm for the business that has been so critical to our success. I can’t think of a more ideal fit than Jay to carry on this legacy of excellence and lead Ops A La Carte into the future.”

Ops A La Carte LLC and HALT & HASS Labs will remain the same and continue to provide the same level of services without any disruption to its customers. Silverman will continue to assist the Company during its transition to ensure a seamless experience for customers, partners, employees, and consultants.

“I’ve known Kim and Mike since the early 2000s,” says Muns. “I’ve always been impressed with the energy and professionalism exuded by Ops A La Carte and with Mike, in particular. Understanding reliability and its importance to successful product development, there is great alignment with Mike’s and my vision of bringing the realization of reliable products to all of our customers in the most effective manner for them. I’m honored to have been asked to carry on their proud tradition and look forward to our team working closely with all our customers, vendors, and partners.”
